Books and Hooks *1

I haven't done a 'Currently Reading' since July and not because I haven't been reading...
I got so destricted with crochet and knitting posts that  I forgot to share my reads here at the blog.
I recently joined goodreads and I set a goal to read 100 books this year. So this is as good an excuse as any to document the books I will be reading.I don't know whether I'll be reviewing the books or I'll just document this years books.
As a result I decided to change the name of this posts from 'Currently Reading' to 'Books and hooks'.
Hope you like it!! For this first post I'll share my nightstand that needs urgently some loving!!!

Girly scarves and bows!

I haven't posted in  what feels like ages. This two scarves were made for my best friend's girls.
I love the result. The bowes are a personnal touch of mine.
I didn't sew them on the scarf. I attached the bow on an base brooch in case the girls didn't like the bow or wanted to use the bow in an other scarf.

Εχω να κάνω κάποια ανάρτηση σε αυτό το blog εδώ και πολύυυυυ καιρό.
Αυτά τα δυο κασκώλ τα έφτιαξα για τα κορίτσια μιας πολύ καλής μου φίλης.
Τα χρώματα είναι παραγγελία από τα κορίτσια!!
Ο φιόγκος είναι μια προσωπική πινελιά μου και δεν υπάρχει στο πατρόν.
Αποφάσισα να μην ράψω τον φιόγκο στο κασκόλ άλλα να τον περάσω σε βάση καρφίτσας. Σε περίπτωση που τα κορίτσια προτιμάνε το κασκόλ χωρίς το φιόγκο ή θέλουνε να τον βάλουνε κάπου αλλού.

Knitting scarfs

My mum asked me to knit for her a scarf.  I had the yarn for over a year.... Yes, I know...a year! Thankfully she had forgotten all about it! As I was organizing my yarn stach I found it and decided to knit the scarf. It was about time actually! I haven't knitted for over a year and this little scarf was just about right to get me started again.

Η μαμά μου ζήτησε να της πλέξω με βελόνες ένα κασκόλ. Είχα το νήμα για ένα ολόκληρο χρόνο. Ναι! ένα χρόνο! Ευτυχώς το είχε ξεχάσει. Τις προάλλες που έφτιαχνα τα κουτιά με τα νήματα το βρήκα και αποφάσισα να το πλέξω. Είχα να πλέξω με βελόνες πάνω από ένα χρόνο κι αυτό το κασκόλ ήταν ακριβώς ότι χρειαζόμουν για να ξαναρχίσω.
